The
mountain bike World Cup was in Scotland last weekend and the weather was
great for it, or maybe not... It was all in the name of fun camping in the down pours of rain
to watch the Mountain Bike World Cup unfold on our
own soil, and what great fun it was (honestly)!
The
weekend started with registration on Thursday afternoon on what was a
really dry and sunny afternoon but I think that was about the last time in
the weekend we saw the sun.. From that point onwards there was 4X
qualifying on Friday, with loads of British riders doing a great job of
seeding. XC riding was first thing Saturday morning, followed by DH practice
and Trials, then the 4X Finals. This long day of riding and racing was
obviously very tiring for all those spectating so we most headed to the
Party in the Fort and the fun that seams to be a Saturday night in Fort
William. Waking up Sunday feeling a little sore (from spectating) the main
event to watch was the downhill before the long journey home, defiantly a
great weekend and I really look forward to the World Champs there next
year
