2/8/07: New Nicolai Helius CC demo

Our new demo bike of Nicolai's flagship full-sus, the Helius CC, is now built and ready to be tested. Changes to last year's frame are a slightly longer top tube, a lower bottom bracket, and increased maximum travel at the front, to accommodate Fox increasing their trail forks from 130 to 140mm. Rear travel remains adjustable from 3.5 to 5 inches, so it's an amazingly versatile bike - ride it at 4" for the local tight twisty singletrack, stick it up to 5" for the Welsh trail centres. 

If you thought our Candy Red paintjob on last year's demo was a little bright, it's nothing compared to the Glitter Red we've gone for this time round. And if that's not enough we've put chrome stickers on to add to the bling (and to match the chrome Formula Bianco brakes!). A frame that looks this flash needs to have bits to match, so we've gone for Chris King headset and hubs, full XTR, Thomson stem and post, and all the other trimmings.
